UNDER SDG 1 & 2 : NO POVERTY AND HUNGER

IRDRP is working to reduce poverty and hunger through Sustainable Agriculture. We encourage farmers to do natural farming by not using Chemical fertilizers and Chemical Pesticides. We give small cash awards to farmers to produce black Gouwni rice which has good protein and controls diabetic diseases. One Kilogram rice cost 200-280 Indian Rupees equal to 8$ but ordinary rice cost Rs.30-50 Indian Rupees equal to less than One dollar. Hence it is more profitable to farmers as well as people. We also encourage landless farmers to do kitchen garden cultivating vegetables and greens as small business and self supports system

We insured all animals and women collect all cow milk and supply to Government society, Government appreciated their effort and sanction 30 cows for them. Each family has now 2 cows. About Us

Institute Of Research & Development For The Rural Poor Trust (IRDRP)

To work for a healthier world by educating citizens about their health, jobs, and livelihood options.

In 1989, Dr. Irudayasamy and Two other Trustees committed to the welfare of the people established the Institute of Research and Development for the Rural Poor Trust (IRDRP). It was dedicated to assisting the neediest members of society. The main purpose of the organization is to study the real situation of the people (Research) through a participatory approach and find the solution to the issues by themselves. We are working in the southern states of Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry.

IRDRP plays a critical role in promoting Education, Health Awareness, and Construction of Houses and Water and Sanitation units in Tamil Nadu. The majority of the projects are located in rural areas.

Our ventures have also been assisting disaster victims in recent days, such as the Chennai 2015 Flood, where we focused on hard-to-reach communities such as Tribal and rural communities. In Tamilnadu, we are now the first responders to every disaster.

IRDRP collaborates with local NGOs, government agencies, neighborhoods, and families on a regular basis.
