Empowering Farmers and Women through Sustainable Agriculture and Livelihood Initiatives
IRDRP promotes poverty reduction and hunger alleviation through sustainable agriculture, encouraging natural farming without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We incentivize farmers to cultivate black Gouwni rice, which offers health benefits and high profitability. Landless farmers are supported to grow kitchen gardens for self-sustenance. Post-tsunami, we aided coastal communities by providing milch animals to 30 Dalit women, enabling them to earn a steady income through dairy farming. Additionally, we produce reusable cloth menstrual pads, low-cost single-use pads, and maternity pads, offering these products affordably to promote menstrual health and hygiene.
