IRDRP is working to reduce poverty and hunger through Sustainable Agriculture. We encourage farmers to do natural farming by not using Chemical fertilizers and Chemical Pesticides. We give small cash awards to farmers to produce black Gouwni rice which has good protein and controls diabetic diseases. One Kilogram rice cost 200-280 Indian Rupees equal to 8$ but ordinary rice cost Rs.30-50 Indian Rupees equal to less than One dollar. Hence it is more profitable to farmers as well as people. We also encourage landless farmers to do kitchen garden cultivating vegetables and greens as small business and self supports system.
